A spirit larger than life has left us.

Graeme Stevenson was a exceptional man or woman. He had tremendous innovative energies and the dedication to set his strategies about artwork and the planet into motion. We met him when he arrived at our studios one August working day with his assistant, Sophia Stacey, along with baggage of filming and lights tools. We have been right away impressed with his kindness and sincere interest in our do the job and our lives as artists. Both equally Graeme and Sophia exuded real enthusiasm and friendliness.

We immediately strike it off. Kindred spirits. They designed the interview and filming approach entertaining and complete of laughter. This was a entirely distinct kind of interview practical experience. Special. Extra like hanging out with one’s near pals. In advance of we understood it, they were concluded, packed up and all set to go. They were being tired from traveling from Australia and across The us, interviewing artists along the way. It hasn’t often happened in our lives that we have satisfied somebody like Graeme. Immediate rely on. He was that form of human being. And, he was an achieved and effectively-identified easel painter on leading of it all!

We requested him why he was burning up so considerably energy and potential portray time to film and develop his Colour in Your Life Television set collection. He said that he was served along in his career by someone early on, and when he requested that individual how he could ever repay him, he was advised to “just enable other artists like yourself”. So he started to fork out it ahead and we and hundreds of other artists who obtained to take part in the program and to know him a little, are the beneficiaries of that generosity of spirit. The entire world requirements far more individuals like Graeme Stevenson. He is missed.

We interviewed Graeme about his private artwork two months ago. You can see that job interview and some of his paintings in this article.

As it suggests on the Color in Your Lifetime internet site, Graeme’s vision was “to create a library of the minds of artists, preserving a electronic history of artistic spirit, society, and methods for long term generations.”
