Winter Art Camp (Ages 6–8): Art & Ecology

In this mixed media course, choose inspiration from artists on see who enjoy mother nature and want to protect the natural environment. You can expect to sculpt, paint, and attract with artist Beatriz Jaramillo.

This software will consider area indoors on LACMA’s campus, Monday–Friday, January 2–6.

About the Teacher

Beatriz Jaramillo’s do the job addresses the landscape as metaphor and modality, highlighting the tensions produced by the synthetic separation between nature and tradition, and, in the method, inviting the viewer to rethink their fractured marriage with nature. Beatriz analyzed Fantastic Arts in her native Colombia, and, in Los Angeles, she received an MA in Art Training and an MFA in Studio Artwork with emphasis in Sculpture/Ceramics. With her work, the artist integrates art, science, and technological innovation with community participation, in buy to inspire significant dialogues about environmental troubles. Her artwork has been exhibited in a number of galleries and museums in the United states and Colombia. She also has served as a educating artist at LACMA and the Norton Simon Museum, as effectively as a faculty member at Cal State University, as a Ceramic Instructor.
