Much of Auman’s function that will be on exhibit was motivated by her travel, which include a painting of Rialto Bridge in Venice, Italy. Venice is also represented in her unusual rendering of St. Mark’s Basilica depicting its famous pigeons fluttering above Piazza San Marco. An inspirational composition of a symbolic white doves traveling versus a crimson history speaks of the Holy Spirit and Auman’s Christian faith.
There will also be textile items of richly colored abstract paintings of neighborhood architecture building’s, including the old Stephenson County Courthouse, pretzel town drawings, birds, pictures, ceramics and lots of multi media items, the show supplies a little something for each artistic style and pocketbook.
She likes doing work in oil and blended media but is drawn to drinking water color with ink patterns for extra depth. She has painted murals, spun wool and woven banners for location church buildings, and her function can be identified in local museums, the Forreston Library, Freeport High University, the Monroe Clinic, decide on space businesses and non-public collections.
A graduate of Northern Illinois University, she taught artwork and pictures for 22 decades at Christian Everyday living School in Rockford, five decades at Immanuel Lutheran Faculty in Freeport, and for decades, she substituted at quite a few place schools. She gave personal artwork classes in her property and also taught watercolor portray at Highland Group Higher education.
